A key activity of IRMA is organizing Technical Training Programmes for the member companies. IRMA regularly organizes Technical Training Programmes for Junior Level Technicians to build a pool of skilled and competent workforce at the shop floor level. The faculties comprise experts having wide knowledge on refractories application and development. Theoretical classes are also blended with hands on experience in practical areas.

IRMA also organizes customized technical training programmes for the user industries mainly steel, aluminium, copper etc. These courses are usually conducted as a part of IRMA's continuous initiative to broaden the interface between the refractory industry and the user industry.
